Coach Calvin Shepherd Jr is a USA Boxing Level II Official and Silver Level Coach. Serving as a youth mentor and president of the Lion Hearted nonprofit organization. He has mentored over 200 youth and coached in over 200 local, state, and national boxing events throughout the United States since 2007. Assisted over 1000 youth with football, basketball, baseball, and other sporting activities with registration fees assistance.
Coach Calvin is certified in creating safe & inclusive environments for athletes with disabilities, nutrition science & promoting healthy eating habits training. Using this training to introducing an active lifestyle through health and fitness. To combat the nation’s highest period of adolescence obesity.
Calvin is a Army veteran with 4 combat tours to the theatre of Southeast Asia. Retiring with a honorable discharge and many service medals, awards, and commendations.
